2023 Lesson 14: Opioid Safety

It explains the risks officers may face when responding to an opioid overdose and describes how officers can protect themselves and others. The lesson further describes the signs of an overdose and how to respond when an overdose is suspected. Finally, the lesson discusses some Missouri laws that have been enacted specifically to combat opioid overdose.
